Meet The Artist

Vijay A Dhongadi

Vijay A Dhongadi is a visual artist whose work is deeply rooted in culture, tradition, and personal history. Born in Hubli, Karnataka, his journey began alongside his father, a signboard artist, from whom he learned the fundamentals of letters, shapes, and design. These early experiences laid the foundation for a distinct creative voice.

Vijay holds a Bachelor's in Visual Arts (BVA) and a Master's in Fine Arts (MFA), shaping his understanding of form, color, and expression. His artistic language draws from ancestral devotion, particularly to the goddess Savadatti Yellamma. Memories of sacred rituals involving turmeric and kumkum, witnessed in his childhood, have become recurring motifs in his work symbols of purity, power, and the essence of womanhood and nature.
