Meet The Artist

Mahadev Shetty

Mahadeva Shetty KC is a Mysuru-based artist known for his deep artistic instincts and a style that brings architectural heritage to life with striking realism. Trained at Ravindra Kala Niketan School of Art, Tumakuru, and later earning a Master of Visual Art from Kannada University, Hampi, Shetty’s works often blur the line between painting and photography. His mastery in capturing monumental structures through delicate brushwork and subtle colour palettes makes his art both meditative and timeless.

He comes from a family dedicated to art education: his wife, Ms. Madhavi ML, and daughter, Ms. Rachita M. Shetty, are both practicing art teachers. A humble and grounded individual, Shetty currently serves as Principal at Sree Kala Niketan School of Art in Mysuru and has exhibited widely across India from Mysuru and Dharwad to Delhi and Kolkata receiving multiple accolades including the Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Award.
